Mount Pilatus Excursion
July 7 I was going to look up all the details of this excursion, when I decided to just copy and paste, then add my pictures. Here it is: Mount Pilatus - After a leisurely cruise on crystal-clear Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad ascend by the steepest rack railway in the world (48 degree incline) to Pilatus Kulm, 7000ft high. On top you have time to walk up to the vista point and to admire the breath taking panorama over the Swiss Alps and Lucerne. Then descend by aerial cable car to Fraekmuentegg, change to smaller cable cars and sweep over pine forests and mountain meadows to the village of Kriens, private transfer to Lucerne.
