Aruba was beautiful and very hot and humid. I'm not sure why people choose to travel there in the heat of summer, but it was quite a popular place. I'm guessing it's even busier in winter.

We got up early to walk the beach before it got too hot. Me with the younger girls.

| Me and my sister. We beach walkers had a nice breakfast at a restaurant on the beach, then went for a swim before heading back to get ready for the wedding. |

The wedding was lovely and right on the beach. We all ditched our foot wear early on and danced the night away. I was happy to spend time with my daughter most of all as living on opposite coasts means we don't get to do that too often. I really hated saying goodbye to her.

Flying to Aruba takes the better part of a day (8 hrs) so it's not a trip I'll be taking any time again soon. I did learn a few things.
1. My preferred vacation temperature is in the 60's - 70's. Definitely not the 90's!
2. I'll try to avoid Delta Airlines in the future. For reasons that escape me, they arbitrarily switched our seats at the last minute on all flights. We purchased and selected the seats in April so we could chat and catch up on the flights. There were many passengers grumbling about this, not just us. It was really odd. We did end up sitting together as we actually wanted the middle seat.
3. Packing light is a blessing. This was the lightest I've ever packed, and getting around with a light bag, carry on only, made a huge difference in ease of travel. I still had 3 outfits I didn't wear.
Back at home now and getting the back yard ready for the patio project to start in a week or two! I'm embracing the rain and 70 degree temperatures too.
Aruba looks gorgeous but like you I'm not a fan of 90s. We have 70s today and it feels great. I love all the family pictures and the happy smiles on everyone's faces. I've been reading so many nightmare stories of flying this summer. :(
