Spring Teaser - 2 Bike Rides In 2 Days
2/14/23
What a sweet day for me. I did an energetic yoga practice to start things off. I finished painting the closet and got rid of lots of excess paint cans in the cleanup process.
I finally got tired of ignoring the abundance of arugula and lemons languishing in the fridge, so I tried a recipe for lemon arugula pesto and it was delicious - I put it on some excess cucumbers for lunch. I made enough to share with pesto loving friends.
I'm trying to waste less and use up the foods in the refrigerator and freezer this month. It is going well as I've only shopped once and don't plan to again until next week. That will just be for a bit of produce as there is so much other food in the freezer and the pantry.

The temperature outside was rising and I almost put the bike on the car to head off for a bike trail, but I just didn't feel like driving. Instead I set off on the bike out of the driveway for a town ride and it was great! That first rush of endorphins as I head down the hill never fails to put a smile on my face. The sunshine was a balm for my soul. I ended up riding fourteen heart pumping miles in 1 hr 15 min at 47 F.

I was so fascinated by the SpaceX Starlink satellites last week, that I looked up a viewing tracker and tonight there is a 5 minute opportunity. In preparation I am adapting my little unused tripod for my iPhone. I hope to take a video of the satellites tonight!

| I glued a nut to the wood platform which will screw onto the tripod, then rubber band the phone to that. I will not apologize for my nerdy tendencies. 😉 |

What an upbeat post! You do so much with your life that I'm lost in admiration. My ex-boyfriend and I used to love a pizza with lemon arugula as one of its toppings. He was a vegetarian whereas my current guy (John) loves meat.
