April Again!

Monday 4/3/23

These tiny 'Peeping Tom' daffodils have been blooming and spreading for 25 years.

This morning's weather forecast was hilarious and embodied spring in NY; 26 degrees and chance of a snow squall at 7 am  with a high today of 60 degrees and sunny. I had an annual checkup and am thankfully very healthy. Mostly had a nice chat with my PA.

I spent the weekend painting and slowly moving back into my bedroom. I'm being very judicious in terms of putting things back. If it has gone through the laundry it means I wear it and it goes back in. The mounds of clothes that got deposited all over the house will have to pass the minimalism test. Did I wear it in the past 6 months or will I wear it in the next 6 months? If no, it goes directly to the donation box. Oh and cleaning the dust. So Much Dust!

Another bike ride in the books. The weather looks iffy for the rest of this week, but I see 70's in the long range forecast - how exciting. I rode 20 miles in one hour and 45 minutes and into a head wind both ways! The winds have calmed down to just below 10 mph today, but gusts were giving me a hard time. There was construction on the trail so I had a small detour which slowed down my time. Now hopefully I'll sleep better tonight.

So sad to see a dead beaver on the side of the road by the lake. I had no idea beaver lived here.

Getting ready to nest?

Detour around the construction on the bike trail.

The Normanskill was raging today.

I am taking today to get the yard cleaned up and get other chores done. I need my alone time when I've got a week of very peopley activity coming up. Dinners with friends, traveling to visit mom, and helping with sisters big move. I had in mind a day of peaceful gardening, but the wind is howling and there are many broken and dead branches that came down in the last snowstorm that have to get cleaned up, so it looks like more of a work out day. 💪

  1. Ooh, the job is finished? Where are the pics? I really need to go through my closet and get rid of my "teacher" clothes since I've been retired since 2017. Your schedule sounds very busy! Mine was supposed to be and then I got a dumb cold/cough so I'm not sure what I'll be able to do.
