November Week 2

 November 10 - 15 , 2021

Evidence that climate change is happening, the trees color still clings on well into November. The doe is back and she sometimes has company.

AnnMarie, Susan and I attempted the monoliths in the Shunnemunk Range, but the waning days of fall meant we just ran out of daylight. We were within half a mile when we reached our time of no return. We might have made it, but we didn't want to test it out by hiking down a ridge in the dark. This is no 7 mile hike, it is at least 9 miles. I have done it 3 times now and the mile signage is just wrong. Anyway, the ridge views were lovely on a windy but sunny day!
